WOFFWeb Open Font Format
The web font format recommended by the W3C. It is a compressed TTF or OTF font that loads faster on a website.
Turn your WOFF fonts into TTF fonts in seconds. Conversion happens in your browser, so your files are never uploaded to a server.

These sample files are generated on the page. Convert them to try it out, or add your own.
Click “Choose WOFF files” or drop them on the page. You can add several at once.
TTF is already selected. The font flavour (TrueType or OpenType) is handled automatically.
Click “Convert”, then download your TTF file. With several files, grab everything at once as a ZIP.
Turning a WOFF into a desktop font is mostly done for mock-ups: using a website’s font, or one from a foundry’s web kit, in a design app or a word processor. The tables are decompressed and the font is rebuilt table by table, its checksum recomputed: outlines, kerning, hinting and family name stay the same, and it installs like any other font on your computer.
Two common limits. Fonts taken from a website are often cut down to the characters that site needs, so some accents or symbols may turn into empty boxes in your documents. And the WOFF-specific metadata block, where some foundries describe the licence, is not carried over, which a message points out. Besides, a web licence generally does not allow installing the font on a computer.

The TrueType font format, created by Apple in the late 1980s and adopted by Microsoft. It installs on every system.
Because your WOFF contains PostScript (CFF) outlines: the original font was that type of OpenType font, and Formatomat restores it as it was, without converting the outlines. That is why OTF is the output format offered. The file installs exactly like a TTF on Windows, macOS and Linux, and works in the same apps.
Not yet: only WOFF is supported, and a .woff2 file is flagged as not supported. WOFF2 relies on a different compression method and a reorganisation of the tables. Many websites now serve only WOFF2 to recent browsers, so check whether the font also exists as WOFF, for example in the foundry’s web kit.
No. The file is read and converted by your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, and nothing is kept after you close the page.
No. The font tables are just compressed (WOFF) or decompressed (TTF, OTF), so the glyphs stay identical.
As many as you like, for free and without signing up. Add them all, then download the results one by one or in a single ZIP. The maximum size depends on your device and browser, with a few caps that protect its memory (for example 20,000 files per archive or 5 million filled cells per workbook: see the home page FAQ); a file over one of them is not converted, and a message says so.
Formatomat is designed for recent browsers on computers, iPhone and Android, with no app to install. A conversion the browser cannot do (a format it cannot read or write) is refused with a message that says so.
